I think I might actually get this chapter out within the next week or so. Shit has kind of stopped for now and I can feel myself wanting to write it again. If crap hits the fan again soon, I'll just post up the first half as it's own chapter and post the second half when I finish it since the entire chapter is longer than normal. Thanks for being patient!

When I said later next week, I meant tomorrow night after my prereaders get done with it.

I had some last minute ideas I wanted to toss in and I decided to go with quality instead of just pumping out chapters. I know my schedule has been erratic, but my personal life has been in the meat grinder. I'll spare you the details lol. It's mostly done, but there's a few more things I couldn't resist adding.

I'm up to chapter 10 as far as the editing process goes. Added in some extra backstory and whatnot. Noticed there were some poorly described parts of the castle. That's what I get for not being thorough.

Chapters 11 through 13 done today, whew! Looking good so far! Not as many mistakes so it's kinda fun to see how my writing slowly evolved.

Two days ago, at 5:53am, I finished my final chapter. There's four in total and I'll be posting them all over the course of 4 days, one per day. Let me tell you, it's been a ride. I've had so many ups and downs, disgustingly inappropriate reviews, amazing fans and I learned a lot about myself. I used KOTD to vent when I couldn't afford a therapist and those chapters were some of my best. Are there things I'd change about the novel? There wasn't much to edit. I just wanted to add a bit more. I guess it's done for now but I think I'm going to extend celestias dialogue instead of just glossing over it. I've spent the last few days thinking of what I wanted to add to this given it's length.

1 year ago to the day, I started off a massive quest. I wanted to write this huge idea for a story. So it's officially my one year anniversary for my novel.
So I'm sitting here, looking over my last bit of story line and realizing I have about 50k words left before I finish my first novel (It's at 117k right now). I know this chapter is kinda short, I ended up breaking it into two chapters. Should have 31 out in the next week or so since it's mostly done.

I did it I did it! Finished chapter 1 rewrite! Never again! I'm so sick of that damn chapter! I've rewritten it like...four times now? That's not including edit overhauls. Broke it into two parts because chapter 1 being 10,400 words is...uninviting. Ugh. I'm never touching it again. For the most part, I had way too many sentences that started with "I" like "I did this" or "I did that" so I reworded them as much as possible. There were also sentences that were unclear, or seemed...out of place.

Kinda put off the next chapter. I had an old family friend take his life and I've been trying to be there for some of his family. Also my financial situation kinda got steamrolled. So with all the stress, I just haven't really sat down to finish the next chapter. Wanted to drop a line and apologize real quick.

I got the chapter written but...I kinda wanna extend it a bit...please be patient! I know t's been a bit and I constantly fight the urge to give you all a little something even if it could be better.

Decided to start writing King of the Dead: One Woman Army, the prequel to KOTD.
It's how Lucretia went from being a disabled girl to one of the most reknown captains in the Taraskan army. Anyone know of some good groups who want a strong female character without the stereotypes?

Finally finished the first half of chapter 1 and broke it into two parts. I'm done with it, never touching it again. I'm so sick of that damn chapter. I've edited it, added to it, moved stuff around, deleted entire sections. I'm so sick of reading it. On the plus side, I still get that tense feeling when I read it as I follow the story. Unfortunately it made me publish part 2 of chapter 1 before it's been edited. Owell, maybe tomorrow.

Almost done with the next chapter. Sorry it's super late, life kinda grabbed me by the nads and threw me in cement.

Almost done with it and way ahead of my usual schedule. I'm loving this "no deadline" crap! it's nice feeling like I can just take my time and enjoy writing all over again. Hell I might just post it later today because I can. I'm debating between spending more time sprucing up the descriptions or just calling it good since there's no technical end to sprucing up.

After a decently eye-opening review, I'm going to be posting up one more chapter of KOTD, hen giving book one the last overhaul. There's a lot of tense issues and typos that microsoft word and myself didn't catch, as well as chapters that just...need more. I've been putting it off because reading all 142k words and editing them is exhausting. I may post up a random chapter or so while I'm doing this, but I don't plan to.
